Author Guideline

ETEDU: Elementary of Teacher Education is committed to publishing high-quality research and scholarly work that contributes to the field of elementary teacher education. Authors are encouraged to read and adhere to the following guidelines when preparing their manuscripts for submission.

  1. Submission Process
  • Online Submission: All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system.
  • Originality: Manuscripts submitted to ETEDU must be original and not under consideration or published elsewhere.
  • Language: The journal accepts manuscripts written in both English and Indonesian. Authors whose first language is not English or Indonesian are encouraged to have their manuscript reviewed for language quality before submission.
  1. Manuscript Preparation
  • Format: Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  • Length: Manuscripts should generally not exceed 7,000 words, including abstract, references, tables, and figures. Exceptions can be made for comprehensive reviews or special cases.
  • Font and Spacing: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing. Margins should be 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
  • Sections: The manuscript should include the following sections:
    • Title Page: Title of the manuscript, author(s) names, affiliations, and contact information for the corresponding author.
    • Abstract: A concise summary of the research, not exceeding 250 words, including the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
    • Keywords: Provide 3-5 keywords that represent the content of the manuscript.
    • Introduction: A clear statement of the problem, research objectives, and significance of the study.
    • Literature Review: A review of relevant literature that provides context and background for the study.
    • Methodology: A detailed description of the research design, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques.
    • Results: Presentation of the research findings with appropriate use of tables and figures.
    • Discussion: Interpretation of the results, implications for theory and practice, and limitations of the study.
    • Conclusion: A brief summary of the research findings and their significance, along with suggestions for future research.
    • References: A complete list of all sources cited in the manuscript, formatted according to APA 7th edition style.
    • Acknowledgments (optional): Recognition of individuals or institutions that supported the research.

  • Citation Style: References should be formatted according to the APA (7th edition) citation style.
  • In-Text Citations: Use parenthetical citations within the text to refer to the sources listed in the reference section.
  • Reference List: Include full references for all cited works, alphabetically arranged at the end of the manuscript.
  1. Tables and Figures
  • Placement: Tables and figures should be included within the text at the appropriate points, not at the end of the manuscript.
  • Captioning: Each table and figure must have a clear and concise caption. Tables should be labeled above the table, and figures should be labeled below the figure.
  • Quality: Ensure that all tables and figures are of high resolution and legible. Figures should be in a format suitable for reproduction.
  1. Ethical Considerations
  • Plagiarism: The journal has a strict anti-plagiarism policy. Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism and self-plagiarism.
  • Ethical Approval: Research involving human subjects must include a statement of ethical approval from a relevant ethics review board.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research or interpretation of the results.
  1. Review Process
  • Double-Blind Review: The journal follows a double-blind peer review process. Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are anonymized by removing any identifying information.
  • Review Timeline: The review process typically takes 4 to 8 weeks. Authors will be notified of the decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection) after the review process is completed.
  1. Revisions
  • Response to Reviewers: If revisions are required, authors must provide a detailed response to each of the reviewers' comments and submit a revised manuscript within the stipulated time frame.
  • Final Submission: Once the manuscript is accepted, authors will be asked to submit the final version of the manuscript, including any requested revisions.
  1. Publication
  • Proofreading: Authors will receive proofs of their accepted manuscripts for final review before publication.
  • Open Access: ETEDU is an open-access journal, meaning that all published articles are freely available to the public.
  • Copyright: Authors retain copyright of their work but grant the journal the right of first publication. The work will be licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License
