Al-Qur’an Dan Alpha Wife: Analisis Teologis Feminisme Islam

Abstract

This article aims to identify and interpret the relationship between the concept of female leadership termed “alpha wife” and the teachings in the Qur’an. In this context, the term “alpha wife” not only refers to a wife who is financially independent, but also contains a leadership dimension that involves the ability to make strategic decisions in the family and society. The research was conducted with a library research approach and the study of sacred texts supported by Islamic feminist theory, so that the analysis carried out was not only descriptive but also normative. The analysis focuses on the verses of the Qur’an that contain the values of leadership, responsibility, and gender roles. The findings show that there is a similarity of values between the leadership principles described in the Qur’an and the characteristics of the alpha wife, although the interpretation requires a deep social, historical, and theological context. This article presents a comprehensive analysis and discussion that links the research findings with various previous literature, so that it is expected to contribute to thinking in the study of Islam and gender.
