AKURASI KRITIK TAFSIR: Analisis Kritis atas Buku Tafsir Al-Mishbah dalam Sorotan Karya Afrizal Nur (L. 1980 M)

Abstract

This article measures the accuracy of Afrizal Nur’s criticism of Tafsir al-Mishbah by M. Quraish Shihab using Muhammad Ulinnuha’s tafsir criticism methodology. No previous study has systematically assessed this criticism’s methodological accuracy from aspects of approach, analytical method, and data validity. Applying qualitative-descriptive analysis followed by systematic critical analysis, this study found five key findings covering the accuracy of method, approach, component completeness, and thematic relevance. Of the 25 criticisms and 25 approaches analyzed, only three meet accuracy standards. These findings underscore the urgent need for a standardized methodology in evaluating contemporary tafsir works in Indonesia.
