Abstract

Early Childhood Education teachers play an important role in designing learning experiences that accommodate the needs and developmental characteristics of young children. However, several challenges are still encountered in teaching practices, including teachers’ limited ability to develop creative learning activities and the less optimal implementation of adaptive and child-centered learning approaches. This community service program aimed to enhance teachers’ competencies in designing creative, adaptive, and child-centered learning plans for early childhood education. The activity was conducted on April 30, 2026, at Wisata Kebun Gowa and involved 35 teachers from 15 partner schools in Makassar City. The methods employed included lectures, discussions, hands-on practice in developing lesson plans, presentation of outputs, and mentoring sessions. The results indicated that participants attended the workshop enthusiastically and actively engaged in all activities. Through practical exercises and mentoring, all participant groups successfully developed Daily Lesson Plans that incorporated more creative, adaptive, and child-centered learning activities. This program contributed to improving teachers’ understanding and skills in designing learning experiences that are aligned with the developmental characteristics and needs of young children.
