Abstract

The transformation of traditional culinary MSME requires simple, contextual interventions that can be directly implemented by business owners. This community service article aims to describe the co-creation- based mentoring process for "Pukis Pak Rakam," a culinary MSME in Makassar City, through payment digitalization and the strengthening of the business's visual identity. The activity was conducted using a participatory approach based on experiential learning. The stages included mapping the initial conditions, conducting observations and interviews, co-creating innovations with the partner, implementing QRIS and promotional banners, and evaluating the trial results over a 14-day period. The results of the mentoring showed that the partner's main challenges lay in limited payment systems, low business visibility, and the suboptimal utilization of simple technology. The implementation of QRIS provided an alternative for non-cash transactions, while the banners enhanced business recognition and helped consumers locate the stall. After the innovations were implemented, business revenue increased from IDR 500,000 to IDR 858,000 within the 14-day observation period, representing a growth of approximately 71.6%. Feedback from both the partner and consumers was highly positive, as the innovations were easy to use, low-cost, and aligned with the business's needs. This activity confirms that co-creation-based mentoring can serve as a relevant community service model to gradually and sustainably improve the competitiveness of micro MSMEs.
