Penguatan Kapasitas Siswa dalam Pencegahan Bullying melalui Edukasi Sosial-Emosional di SMA Negeri 8 Kota Makassar

This Community Service Program aimed to enhance students’ capacity in preventing bullying through social-emotional education at SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. The activity was conducted on May 13, 2026, involving 36 students as participants. The implementation methods included educational counseling, interactive discussions, case simulations (role-play), and the strengthening of social-emotional skills such as assertive communication, empathy, and conflict resolution. Program evaluation was carried out using pretest and posttest instruments, observation of student participation, and activity documentation to assess changes in participants’ understanding and engagement throughout the program. The results indicated an improvement in students’ understanding of the forms of bullying, as well as the social and psychological impacts of bullying and prevention strategies within the school environment. Posttest data showed higher scores compared to pretest results, indicating an increase in students’ knowledge following the educational intervention. In addition, observations revealed that students actively participated in discussions and simulations and were able to identify their roles in bullying prevention efforts at school. Participants also demonstrated positive responses toward the program and expressed commitment to creating a safer and more inclusive school environment. In conclusion, this program was effective in improving students’ capacity to understand and prevent bullying through a participatory social-emotional educational approach. The activity not only enhanced students’ knowledge but also strengthened their social awareness and active involvement in building an anti-bullying culture within the school environment.
