ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL-SOAL Higher Order Thinking Skills PADA MATERI BIOLOGI DI MA NURHIDAYA BONTOMANAI

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' ability to solve HOTS questions on Biology material at MA Nurhidaya Bontomanai, as well as find out the factors that influence students in doing HOTS questions at MA Nurhidayah Bontomanai. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in the form of multiple-choice questions related to students' ability to do HOTS type biology questions at MA Nurhidaya Bontomanai and interview methods as data reinforcement. The results showed that students' ability to solve HOTS questions in class XI IPA MA Nurhidaya Bontomanai excretory system material was still somewhat lacking. The difficulty factors experienced by students in solving HOTS questions are students' lack of knowledge related to the material asked in the questions, the material is rarely given by the teacher, environmental factors, and also the questions are too long.
